Lighthouse often contacted by reporters who indicate that they have not received company feedback after submitting a report. As such, we strongly recommend that you provide a response to a reporter soon after receipt of a report. It is important to avoid reporter frustration and to ensure that reporters feel heard.
On the Incident Reports page, the 'Dialog Available with Reporter' column indicates whether or not the reporter has provided Lighthouse with contact information or if the reporter has provided a PIN on their report. To provide dialog to a reporter or Lighthouse, you can select the Manage Dialog row icon or the link on the row under the 'Dialog Available with Reporter' column. If the value of 'Dialog Available with Reporter' is 'No' then you can only communicate with Lighthouse regarding this specific report. Lighthouse will share the communication with the reporter if Lighthouse has the reporter's contact information. Otherwise, the reporter would need to contact Lighthouse to retrieve any information provided by the company on a report.
Enhanced dialog capabilities – both administrators and investigators will be capable of anonymous dialog with a reporter. All administrators and any investigators assigned to an incident report will be copied on dialog emails unless your company elects to omit administrators from these emails. The company can omit administrators from receiving these emails by unchecking the 'Dialog Copy Administrators' checkbox on the Edit Settings page. However, if there are no assigned investigators to a report or if assigned investigators are read only users, any reporter dialog emails will be sent to administrators by default.
NOTE: Dialog with a reporter is available if the reporter created a PIN when submitting their report. Dialog is not available on Internal reports.
